On Tuesday, March 24, 6ABC Action News came to KleinLife to experience first-hand how impactful our volunteer efforts have been amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"A prepared meal is something that is going to help them feel safe at home and also meet their nutrition needs…We’re really trying to make sure that people have enough food for this crisis." — John Eskate, RSVP Philadelphia Director
Each week we deliver meals to 625 homebound seniors. And we don’t do it alone; we rely on our partnership with RSVP Philadelphia who helps us find young, dedicated volunteers eager to give a helping hand to seniors throughout this crisis. Applying COVID-19 safety precautions, our network of volunteers cook, pack, and deliver the frozen meals directly to the home of the seniors. The 5 to 14 meals each of our seniors receive weekly are critically important nutrition. We are proud that 6ABC News was able to capture the spirit of our young volunteers and the power of our collaboration.
